Pleasure Club is a radio show & artistic research project meditating on visions of utopia. I've been doing the show for 6 years (!), and you can find all 150+ episodes of Pleasure Club on my Internet Archive Page, or go through my list of Favorite Episodes that I've made. Most have show notes with tracklists, summaries, and further readings on the topics I'm discussing (working on getting them added for all of my back episodes now!) You can also listen live on the great online community radio station badradio.biz on Wednesdays at 7pt; as of August 2026 I'm broadcasting live every 3/4 weeks or so. I make announcements about the show day-of on my Instagram.

Each episode of Pleasure Club questions how different music, texts, visual art, & ideas all fit into the practice of liberation for Black, Queer, & other marginalized communities, uniting around a weekly central storyline or theme. The show has a mix of music, storytelling, historical research, readings from poetry and literature, and excerpts of archival audio. Some recent topics I've discussed are representations of black pregnancy in music and art, bagpipe music in Palestine, Guatemalan anticolonial marimba music, and the Zambian afronaut program.
