One of my favorite things is helping bring together people in the bay passionate about arts and organizing. I spend a lot of time collecting and sharing out events community members are involved in and resources for people looking to get involved in community. This page summarizes some of the main ways I do that, and you can always reach out for more!
Weekly Event Roundups
For several years I've been putting together weekly roundups of arts, music, dance, literature and organizing events, mostly in Oakland but also across the bay. The events all get posted on my friend Richie's cool happenings website, which also has a signal group with more frequent updates and my picks separated out. I try to highlight community-oriented, low cost queer, experimental, anticolonial/ anticapitalist, and DIY events, including those only on IG that my offline friends might othersise miss. It is a labor of love that takes several hours every week to make and format so I hope you are able to make good use of it! My hope is that it can introduce people to new creative communities & help folks find joy and build relationships that might feel out of place out here. Please enjoy :)

A ton of Oakland/SF events are hosted by DIY community spaces that aren't are in a lot of normal event guides. My Guide to Club/Electronic Events
There are a ton of independent dj collectives and promoters throughout the bay that put on incredible bipoc/trans community oriented parties at diy and renegade locations across the bay! This guide has a lot of my favorites and what to expect from the vibes from each. It is in desperate need of an update and I will do that soon 🙂↕️
